    Question regarding auto to 5spd

Hello people, am working on my 93se coupe. The problem I have is that the clutch line from the lx accord fits like it should, only problem is that there is no holes to bolt the clutch damper bracket down.

Any one else run into this problem? Do I need a separate bracket? I also deleted the abs, may be the the clutch line from the lx and ex are different, or I need a separate bracket. Any help will appreciated.

This is totally a guess and if you had asked me a month ago when my engine was out of my car I could have told you for sure. It's possible that the damper is bolted to the ABS pump assembly on the EX and the bracket would just go to a different location on the firewall for the DX/LX. I could probably look at my and tell anyway but I'm out of town for Mother's Day still.

I have a 93 ex, and I drilled and tapped 2 holes in the firewall for my damper. Im unsure if the LX damper location differs from the EX, but there was a designated spot where the damper went in the ex, only the holes weren't tapped from the factory since it was an auto.

That's odd seeing as automatic Accords even have the bracket and threaded inserts for the clutch master cylinder reservoir.

I agree. Just makes it that much simpler to do the swap.

this is only 1 bolt hole that lines up with the dampener.

Thanks guys for all the input, tomorrow am heading to the jy there's a 92-93 ex-r/ex 5spd I will try to study the set up and take what I need. I will report back when I find some answers, if not I will drill and tap some holes like one of the other members did.

I used a self tapping bolt to secure the dampener. I didnt see any holes on mine when I did my swap.
