Are you over heating? Or, just having issue with bleeding the system?

Right now I have not overheated . But I have not drove more than 5-10 miles from home. - and I can't bleed the system. I'm just concerned because everywhere I've checked, it says bleeding is important

No relay involved, nothing electronic here.

        2 possibilities.

        1. Your water pump is junk, and not flowing enough volume, the blades could be rotted off. With the T-stat in, there is not enough volume to properly cool the engine.

        2. Your radiator is clogged. Also a volume issue.

Now to clarify, when the t-stat is in and the system properly bled, does the car overheat or not? And by over heat the needle extends far above the middle line on the temp gauge.

The OP is not being able to bleed the system properly.
          ---------------------------------------------------------------------

OP, this is what I would do if it was my car,,,,

          1) Fill coolant reservoir to max level.
          2) Fill radiator to filler neck.
          3) Drive the car around the block 5-10 miles, till water temp gauge needle shows temp and then some more.
          4) Stop the car.
          5) Place thick shop rag over the bleeder valve and crack it really slowly just enough to let air out with protection on your face and hands.
          6) Leave it open till nothing comes out or coolant comes out.
          7) Close valve.
          8) Repeat #3 to #7 extending distance each time till you feel comfortable knowing you are not over heating. Or, coolant comes out as you open the valve.

You may see water temp needle go up and down as you drive, due to air in the system. If you see needle stay up, stop the car till engine cools down.
You may experience unstable idle. But this shall improve as air is getting out of the system.

Since this involves extremely hot and pressurized coolant potentially shooting out, pay extreme caution if you choose to follow. And do so at your own risk.

Ok. When I have a t-stat I cannot bleed the system. I have no overheated yet because I'm cautious to drive more than 5-10 miles .

I have already tried what oyajicool listed above ^

And it WON'T bleed. And trust me I know about coolant and danger : once I was stuck, and my hose was pouring out coolant.. I decided to help the rad "cool-off faster" so I opened the rad cap /.

I burn the living right out of myself. I burned my hand,my arms, my face, my eyes, my neck, even my tounge! Ouuuuch!

My temp gauge nor my rmps "wiggle" or fluctuate.. It drives normal.
At least after 5-10 mins of driving after it's been brought up to temp.

This could be: I mean the original owner did not even have a t-stat in the vehicle. I discovered it was missing after almost two(2) years of owning it. Lord only knows how long she was missing a t-stat
