    Could you post pictures of the cracks?

    Could they be casting flaws? Other than that. It is very hard to envision what sequence of events would have to occur in order to crack the areas around the injectors. There really isn't a hole lot of generalized pressure around those areas.

        From the factory there's a support brace underneath the intake manifold to keep the weight of the manifold from being an issue. There's a chance that this has been removed in the past and the flange has now cracked from stress.

          Every Honda engine I've owned and worked on, the IM brace was removed...never seen one crack or brake off because of stress.

              Why is a stock F22A1 with an oil-soaked timing belt using nitrous?

                maybe high heat,and porosity in the intake casting,or like said before,casting
                defects.

                          I'm going to be honest here and say that I have yet to see that myself. Not sure exactly what might have caused them ether. The cracks around the runner could be caused by a constant heavy down force and vibration on the manifold. As for the cracks around the injector bung, not sure. They are attached to the intake so there shouldn't be any undo pressure lifting on them.

                          Do you know if this particular intake manifold was ever removed from the engine? Looks like it may have been dropped or crushed by something at one point.

                          Edit* Just realized the N2O factor;
                          Spraying cooler nitrous into a hot manifold, in a dry N2O setup, could cause some stress issues over time.....But I'm not 100%, I've never really run N2O for an extended period. Aluminum is usually a bit more forgiving to heat/cold fractures.

                            ,.,,.

                            it was removed from car but i can assure u when i put it all back together those cracks were not there they just kinda appeared is that even a f22a1 intake mani? cause its not the same as my one laying on the workbench seems shorter?

                              If it is a single runner lower IM than it is more than likely an F22A1.
