    Throtle Body help

ok i have an F20B and am using an after market TB right now. but im going to be putting this on on. its from a prelude, i believe 97 to 00 model. however my question is about the MAP sensor. im not sure what to do with it. do i just leave the sensor plugged in and not hook it up?

If you take it out there will be a vacuum leak, which obviously you don't want. Leave it bolted/screwed in. I don't know much about any Honda engine other than the F22A I have, but I assume the F20B uses speed-density sensing (MAP sensor +) as opposed to mass airflow (MAF sensor), in which case you need to hook up some sort of MAP sensor to the ECU's wiring.

If you are going to use your original black box mounted MAP you can just leave the H22 MAP sensor installed on the TB and leave it disconnected.

Or you could remove the MAP from the TB and tap the hole for a hex plug.

You could omit the one in your black box and wire up this one instead. There wouldn't really be a point though unless you were deleting the charcoal canister and EGR since both of those have electronics in that box also.

Thanks guys. I still have the black box. I just wasn't sure about it and running the vaccume hose from the map in the black box. I think ghost hit the nail on the head.
