    Interior Blower Motor

Hey guy's I need some help on a inoyance with my blower motor.
When I go to start the car and let it run or even in AII. some times it just won't start until you tap the unit or turn the blade a little bit. When it works all speed's work and bumps don't affect it. Its just when you go to turn off the car and then go to restart it 6-10 times it wont start up.

I took out the whole unit broke it apart cleaned it up dirt and everything and it still works this way.... I have no intention on replaceing something that still works just want to know if anyone else has this problem or has fixed it
Could it be the magnetic looking white peice on the side of the box?

sounds like the brushes are worn out if the motor has brushes.if not it sounds like its is just plain worn out. the reason why it works when your give it a little push id because of the laws of physics. there is less friction when an object is in motion to move faster than there is for an object to start moving.

If the blower motor tested on the bench and act as the same way as installed, it must be THE blower motor that at fault.

I will go ahead and work on that thanks for the advice its odd because I had it sitting on the floor board hooked up to the power trying to re inact the problem but it worked 100 percent of the time. I could figure the motor would be pretty much at its end though a buddy of mine has a 92 and he was complaining about his blower which is 3 yr old and I just taped it and it workes great. I will bull the box and more thouroughly go through and test the motor outside of the box

I am confused. I thought the motor didn't work good when you tested.
I took out the whole unit broke it apart cleaned it up dirt and everything and it still works this way....
But, then you say, it worked.

In any case, when I troubleshoot an issue like you have, my first suspect will be a motor then a switch.

          Good luck.

The only other likely suspect would be the blower motor resistor if the motor checks out.
