    tranny problem, wtf is this??

Automatic shifts fine, all the lights work, D4 isnt flashing, no codes. When I shift to reverse or neutral, the car drives foreward. Fluid level is good. WTF does this mean?

Shift linkage? Solenoid? Is the tranny blown?

Sounds like shift linkage. Does park = park? Do the other gears match up?

Yep, so the shifter cables have some how came out of sync. I'd start under the shifter assembly.

Its my coworkers car, he went to park his car at work and he couldnt reverse into his spot. This afternoon we took apart everything and it looks like the linkage is broken. When the car starts in Park and starts driving off, something is wrong! Luckily it broke in D4, he was able to drive to a mechanic.

          Thanks for the info!
