i know what you mean about a small budget as me and my wife , daughter live of one small income .

i would not buy from these guy's this is just for a reference . if you're block is still good you can do a rebuild for around 500 to 700 depending on store price and labor .

yea, I wouldn't probably want to buy an aftermarket kit either. I wouldn't want it to go out prematurely when it would be more worth it to buy Honda Genuine even if it is more expensive, I think it would be worth it in the long run.

also, my Honda friend, doesn't do rebuilds below the head gasket (too many problems I guess that he has encountered)

Cause he doesn't want to go through measuring it and all that. He wants to slap it together and go the easy way.

I have not had another problem with it not starting yet. I have not had to pull the ECU fuse to try that as of yet, it does start faster sometimes than others but not like it was on the 3rd. My mom hasn't yet gotten her taxes filed so that when we get the money we can do a "heart transplant" in her to see if the headgasket is the problem. I have gotten to where my mom and me both go out in the middle of the night to start it atleast once (it doesn't seem to like sitting for a full night and start in the morning).

Hey the auto parts should have a tool/diagnostic machine to test the igniter you bring in and the igniter they sell you.

Most of the stuff I guess would be the issue has been address other than, the possibility of the timing belt/components out of spec?

It doesn't like to start when cold. Still leads me to the head gasket. Go get a test kit for exhaust gas in the cooling system. It's like 7 bucks at orielly and will tell us if it's the head gasket or not.

I asked more then one store and they don't have the right leads for mine. one of them said the dealership probably would but I am not paying that kind of money to have the igniter tested.

for a blown head gasket to check it aint hard . just remove the rad cap and start the car let it warm up to normal op temp . once there watch for bubbles if you get bubbles for 5 to ten minutes after reaching op temp then you got a bad gasket . as for the oil since you aint got puddles of it in you're drive way or in the spark plug tube's is a sign of bad rings . depending on how much fluid ( antifreeze ) get's in the chamber's will determine you're how hard it is to start you're car . going with a junk yard is is a bad idea try this .

                            ok I will try that

are they afraid to post the price online or something? meh. what I had planned was getting one as cheap as possible, get timing belt, water pump, and headgasket up done on it before it went into my car.

it has to do with shipping and stuff like that . i paid 675.00 for mine and that came with i think a one year warranty . but like i said it very by where you live .
                              try these guy's .
                              also,
                              another .

just to get a few out to you so you can get a idea . for the price of rebuilding one you can get a good one. but if you rebuild then you know that you're going to have something that will last . just please don't go to the junk yard . oo the bright side to buying another one is that you can keep the old one save some cash and slowly rebuild it you're self . that would also be rewarding to know that you have accomplished this with very little tools and learned a lot on how a engine works .
