    Changed ignition coil, now sluggish

I finally timed my car up 3 weeks ago(replaced inner distributor seal 2 months before and didnt have a timing light with me, had to work) and I had more power and was running better than ever wit more power for 2 weeks and then stopped at a store one day but when I went to start it back up it didn't want to start the first time, started hard the second time… I drove to the stores stop sign where it gave one last put when I hit the gas to go and died, replaced the coil right there and drove away… problem now is that my car is all sluggish again like timing is off again but I checked the timing and it hasn't moved(made a small line up slot when I timed it up before the coil went)…

I'm not getting any cel's just sluggishness and a misfire at idle a week later… could the ignitor be going bad out of nowheres at the same time?

I just changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor last month… F22a6, factory engine, auto tranny.

Hav you looked at any of the fuel components like the fuel filter of pump. Not sure about the misfire, but dying after hitting the gas may be fuel delivery. Good luck with it.

Haven't looked at the fuel system… It wouldn't start til I changed the bad coil, there was no spark, the car ran and drove A-1 before the coil went out.

did you're rpm's bounce at all ? if so could be a bad ignitor . also you said you replaced the coil pack and redid the inner dizzy seal ( wire's in there are britel) . if there is oil getting in there it will run poorly . also if oil got on the ignitor that will cause it to go out even cause a misfire . plug wire's how are they ? are they crack, old, burned ? if they can ground out causing misfire . do you have oil on the part of the spark plug wire's that you insert to the head / valve cover ?

One of the 2 wires coming off the coil had a dried broken off rubber and was right against the other wire from it turning a bit while I was tightening the screws not paying enough attention in the parking lot I did the work in… all I did was tape the wires up and move them apart… it was back to working good but still doesn't have the same power it had b4 the coil blew up
I replaced the distributor seal while it was just a couple drips so nothing got oil soaked and I have no oil in my plug wells.

Sorry I took so long to reply, I just started a new time demanding job and was moving at the same time in +27*c sweating to death.

Replace you're wires . even tape on thoughts I think is a bad idea . also you're coil pack blew up . can you post pics of it because that would be caused by shorting. Also it don't take much oil to throw out the igniter . you may need to try a known good dizzy to try and see if that works .

It was the aftermarket distributor cap, put a oem cap and rotor on and it's good now but it still sounds like there's still a slight miss in the background not affecting idle… yet.

Sorry, can't post pics cuz Im only on my phone and don't know of a site that will upload pics directly from my phone.
