So a couple of years ago, I had my starter replaced by my shop. It was reliable, but always made a nasty grinding noise. Last month, I saw a refurbished denso starter on amazon for $45 dollars, so i got it, installed it, WAY better. Then I decided to install an hc600 battery on my car(i think thats the model) and I accidentally touched the positive and negative posts with a ratchet. After that my car wouldn't start. I checked everything I could think of, fuses, wires, battery, nothing. Then I read something on hear about jumping the starter, tried it, boom it worked. Since then, sometimes it starts normally, sometimes I have to jump it, but it works every single time i jump it. I have not been able to find any patterns whatsoever to when it starts normally and when it doesn't. Any suggestions?
I should add, it wouldn't turn over. I tried doing the starter tapping method to see if it dog anything and nothing
