    Temperature gauge

Hey guys ok there is something wrong either with my engine or my temperature gauge cause heres my problem ill be driving then when i come to a halt my temperature gauge starts to rise all the way to H red and im like chit my car is going to overheat everytime but for some reason it doesn't but the thing is once i start moving agn it goes back to normal like nothing happened. And it climbes and falls at a fast rate. So i at first i thought it was my fan but that seems to be running( do both run or only one?) and then i started to think it was either my thamaeter or however u spell it and today i went to feel my return hose to the radiator and it seemed like it was doing nething like it was heck iono lol but also i think my return hose has a leak cause there is always a wet spot underneath it and it smells like antifreeze could this be the problem or is it something much more ne help would be great thanx.

also you may not be leaving the car on that long to see if its the fans that are gone...and it may be a coolant temp switch by the thermostat

basically check the radiator hoses for leaks, swelling, hotness. pressure test the radiator cap. check the thermostat and fans. check the radiator itself for leaks/bubbling. post up some more info after doing that.

well i checked fans both work fine and there is a slight leak but i believe it is from the drain valve and its not big enough to make that big of a difference the antifreeze level is fine that was the first thing i checked i still have to check the senors thanxs for the treads because i typed temperature gauge and nothing happened did i spell something wrong well thanx neways ill keep you updated.
