    Fuel filter problem

I replaced my fuel filter and it leaks from the lower banjo bolt washer. I used new washers, and tightened it down to the 16lbs the manual says. I tightened it to 24lbs and it still leaks. Should I just get new washers? If so, what size are they? Thanks guys.

you could try that but good luck just finding the washers at a local store, put the original ones back in theyre better. ive reused them without any problems as long as theyre not too malformed for fuel and brakes. Double check the banjo bolt too theyre easy to crack. The stock ones are aluminum and crush better to seal, the aftermarket ones are 99% of the time copper and dont work well where it should be aluminum. Should be 12mm

Your local dealership should have them in stock... can`t remember if mine came with the filter or they were seperate.

OEM filter or aftermarket?? I Always try to get OEM parts 1st...

Carefully check all of the mating surfaces for any significant scratches or deformation. Even though these are crush washers they will only go so far. As far as the malleability of the material goes. in my opinion aluminum is the much better choice. Have never had any issues using off the shelf aluminum crush washers on any of my cars. Besides that, using aluminum will avoid any possibility of galvanic corrosion.

Honda part number is; 90428-PD6-003. it is a 12mm crush washer

The last aftermarket fuel filter I bought for my Accord came with copper washers. In that case I reused my old aluminum ones! If you want to be sure, check out the fuel rail washers. I'm pretty sure they are aluminum and they use the same part number as I listed above.

Fixed. I got 1/2in aluminum washers and it's not leakng anymore. I stocked up too cause I don't want to do this again next time. Also figured out that the coolant line that runs under the throttle body has a crack in it right where the nipple ends. That's why my coolant had been slowly draining. That hose is a pain in the ass to get at too...
