    timing belt issue

Whats up everyone, so I got a h23block with h22 vtec head and wondering how would I be able to remove the timing belt gear from the crank? As the one that needs to be removed is h23 non-v gear and swapping with h22 vtec gear to get my timing belt on and tensioned. Thanks.

In the past month you have now started 11 threads for questions regarding the build of this engine. I think most would describe that as excessive.

Use a pair of pliers to remove the key from the crank snout. That should relieve enough stress to remove the pulley. You may need a little WD-40 and some heat as well. If you use any heat, be very careful around the front main seal. If that doesn't work, you can take off the oil pan with a dead blow hammer. Smacking the back of the oil pan will the slide the pulley off of the crankshaft.
My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

some lube and some love taps with a slide hammer with the bearing puller hook on it.. or a 2 jaw puller and some patience. oil residue gets in there sometimes gets old and baked and glues it on.

Well its because I need better descriptions for responses rather than smart odd colored remarks and antagonism. Very few like yourself have helped/answered in great detail. Thanks!
