    confusing idle

Hello my fellow cb tuners. i have been trying to figure out why my car will idle good for about 2-3 days and then idle irratically. I adjust the idle screw and it levels off, then in a couple of days it's up and down.. then it levels off. Then it when it levels off it will drop below 700 rpms and tries to shut off. I have cleaned the ivac and tested it with the power probe 3, It clicks in and out like its supposed to. From what i have read on here the ivac controls the idle. So my questions to you all is, What could be causing this crazy idle. Does the ivac slowly go out or just dies completely? can it be working sometimes or not at all. i changed the coolant temp sensor. and the Map sensor. Any advise of help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance

Pick you up a can of throttle body cleaner and a lint free rag...clean the throttle body up real nice.

The IVAC combines with the air that squeezes around the throttle body, if the air from the throttle body is inconsistent, there will be a funky idle. Change your air filter as well.

If all this is done and you still get the funky idle. Check your intake gasket for leaks. Anyway it goes, there is more air than accounted for entering the cylinders.

          Dude 3 steps
1 make sure your cooling system is leak free.
          Bleed the cooling system.
open and tighten the spring in the fast idle valve.

          wahlah. Presto.
a person who looks at somthing and see it as waste is no person at all but he who see what it could be will suceed
