    AM valves

    So as I'm getting closer to having all pieces for my build, and having the work done at the machine shop, they called and asked if I wanted to do any oversized or stainless steel valves.
    now as i was looking for both of that(oversized and stainless) i cant seem to find any. I know there is a few companies that make oversized ones(though i cant remember name nor can i find the thread(s)).
    I looked at all the big companies for them IE ferrea, supertech, ETC.
    Is there any place that makes stainless and 1mm oversized?

    Need to be more specific. Engine, exhaust or intake, does the machine shop have their own vendors for parts?

      Is this a double post? I could have sworn that This was answered in another thread.

      The F22B SOHC Non VTEC Ferrea Valves will work in the PT3 Head casting (F22A1-6) they have both stock and 1mm OS stainless valves. You will want the 1mm OS for the PT3 head.

        and im looking for f22a ones, and i want 1mm oversized, would the f22b 1mm OS be the same as stock f22a or would it also be 1mm OS?

            No only the exhaust will be 1mm OS. Where the F22B2/6 only has 32mm intake the 1mm over would still not be large enough. I thought they had larger...... sorry!

            Just out of curiosity what type of build are you doing that uses a 35mm intake valve? Have you increased the engine displacement or are tyou just looking for more intake using a lower lift on your cam?

                So I've decided that 35mm is probably sufficient for intake valves, but with bigger exhaust valves I'll get better spool time and flow better up top. I was looking at those ferra valves and they are smaller besides the valve face

                  You are awesome ghost, I was literally looking this up earlier trying to figure out if there were any aftermarket valves for the F22A and couldn't find anything. I'm glad to know those are inner changeable.

                    stem 5.5 mm
                    length 123.444

                    the f22b2-6 is
                    head 30mm
                    stem 5.46mm

                    i mean 9mm shorter and a smaller stem

                      Where did you get these measurements?

                      The valves that I removed from my F22B2 head measure
                      head = 29mm
                      stem = 5.46mm
                      length = 123.4mm
                      Tip = 4mm

                      The Ferrea 1mm OS exhaust valves measure
                      head = 30mm
                      stem = 5.46mm
                      length = 123.5mm
                      tip = 4mm

                      With a quick valve job they fit without issue! and you are talking about .04mm. Get some new bronzed valve guides and that will make up the difference.

                      EDIT* just went down and measured my old A6 exhaust valves and the stems are also 5.46mm.........

                      NOTE* Just wanted to reiterate that the Ferrea F22B2-6 intake valves are to small for the F22A6.

                            for future people you will have to find someone that can get parts from http://www.precisionengineparts.com/
                            parts numbers are
                            PV2565HP-C
                            PV2566HP-C
                            and they are .5mm oversized

                            can buy from wed3k
