    T2W4 Axle Seals

What USDM transmission would be similar to the T2W4? I am trying to figure out what axle seals to use.

I'm assuming they are the same as all the rest of the H/F transmissions. They accept our axles and prelude axles.

Okay sweet. I looked on Majestic Honda & looks like from 93-00 they are all the same. Thank you.

Oops, I lied. I was looking at the passenger side Axle Seal, which is the same in 93 & 2000 Prelude. There are different part numbers for the driver's side.

        Driver Side Axle Seal
        1993: 91205-PL3-A01 001 OIL SEAL (35X56X8) (ARAI)

        2000: 91201-P6J-003 001 OIL SEAL (44X60X8) (NOK)

Now I am not sure but I would guess since the T2W4 is from a 97-01 CL1 I would use the 2000 version of the axle seal, correct?

I would by the one for our cars. I would guess they ring on the axle changed sizes. You want the one that is going to seal to your axles. I'd buy them for the Accord 90-93.

Okay so even though the sizes look like they are different it just matters about the diameter of the end of the axle?

But wouldn't you want the seal to match the actual diameter of the hole of the transmission it will be sitting in? From the sizes it just seems like the older F series seal is smaller.

I mean I am not even 100% sure that the 2000 Prelude Tranny is the same as the Euro R tranny, I just figured the years correlating would mean they are similar.

For what it's worth. I put standard 90-93 Accord Seals in my M2S4 which says it takes the same bearing and seals as the T2W4.

I looked at the part numbers & it looks like (probably earlier years) 93-96 all have the same part numbers for a SI VTEC Prelude. But, when you look at the part numbers starting at 1997 Preludes, it looks like that is when they offered the SH version which is where the part number for the driver side seal changed. So I would think that if the Euro-Rs were the 97-01 series then they would have to be a similar tranny to the same years as the '97 Prelude I think?

I came across that same page, but I wasn't sure about that. I just saw different part numbers & different sizes through different years on Majestic H. & that is what threw me off.

I recently had to do this to my T2W4, this is the seal that I used:

                    http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo....170201&jsn=418

On rockauto, the part numbers are common between 93-96 and 97-01.

The seal that I received has a couple of mils of additional depth compared to the seal I removed. But it sealed the output shaft.
