    Tranny/Clutch problem??

    Ok, so i was pulling away from a redlight, not racing, just normally. The car accelerated normally for about 3 feet, then i heard a POP come from the front end of the car and it just stopped moving. Whats weird is, I can let the clutch out with it in gear and give it gas, and voila the speedometer climbs, but no movement. When i let the clutch out, it doesnt stall, sputter, shimmy, etc. Nothing.....just sits there.. Please help, its my only means of transportation.

              it might be the axle...sine the clutch is all the way out and it is not moving either.

              what was the condition of the clutch? another question would be...throwout bearing?

                  well, the axles can pop out of each other and physically look fine from the outside.
                  maybe try jacking up the car and leaving the car in gear and spin the wheel the opposite direction?

                  what are the conditions of the axles?

                      I know when i replaced the front axels in my accord i didn't get them all the way back in and they popped out while i was driving and it did exactly as you said, revs up, rpm's and mph's go up but you don't do anywhere. i'd say jack if up and see if by pulling the axel lightly it comes out at all, cuz thats all it could be.

                        yeah make sure your axles are actually installed properly. This happened to me and it turned out to be that the bolts that hold the intermediate shaft in place had not been torqued and vanished, letting the axle slip out just enough to be a pita.

                          ok, checked the axles, they were fine, towed it to my friends garage, we replaced the pressure plate, clutch disc, and flywheel. got it all put back together, tested in the air, everything worked. set it down to pull out, and nothing....fuck it im either selling it or parting it out....

                          EDIT:: The Axles are FINE
