Coupe door rattles

I searched and found an old thread that didnt really answer my question.

On a 2 door CB7 that I went to check out and possibly buy, I noticed that both doors rattled like crazy when you closed them. I believe they did that only when the windows were down, I'm not too sure, it might of happaned while they were up also. But anyways, is this an easy fix? Would I be able to fix it myself, and would it be somewhat cheap to fix? This is like the only problem stopping me from buying the car.

Any way to fix it tho? In the old thread I found they said Honda dealers charge an arm and a leg to fix it.

Quick question 93accordexcoupe, I hope you dont mind. How much did u pay for your car? You can PM me if you dont want to announce it publically. I'm asking because the person is asking 2200 for a 92 LX coupe 5spd. Just wondering if that sounds fair. Yours in an EX model.

yea it was free lol. umm my neighbor got a new car they gave me her old car. the cb. if it was in the paper or they sold it to me i think it would have been like 4500

Like he^^^^^ said, every coupe does it. MIne has done it since I bought it. Just one of the qwerks you learn to love.

your really gonna let that stop you from buying a car? if your that worried about it put your windows up before you close the door. Its not like the window is gonna break or anything

yea people have slammed my door HARD before with them down. their still all good. u think its possible for them to shatter like that?

Im sure its not *imposible* but iv never heard of it happening so im sure its not common

I just make sure my exhuast is loud enough and i have no problem

It's got a few other problems. Just wondering if this was an expensive fix. I know for a fact I have to re-spray the door because it has been bondo'd over, replace the exhuast gaskets (leaks), and some starting problems. Thanks for the insight guys

My coupe does it, and did it back when it was still under factory warranty. The dealer tryed to fix it one time by simply adjusting the window glass. But it didn't work. It's just something you should ignore.

but my passenger side rattles while drivers doesnt. this may also be due to the fact that my pass side has no paneling at all.

My passenger side has always rattled more too, and it does have paneling. Now that I think about it, I can't remember if the drivers side even rattles at all.
