    new engine

my f22 has +190,000 miles, but it is still running good and strong. my question is should i put in a new engine or should i keep my engine as long as i can? also is it advisable to turbo an engine with such high mileage?

190,000 miles is nothing for a honda. Hondas run forever thats why i love em

Yeah, keep it unless repairs are more costly than getting a new one. I wouldn't trust the reliability of turbo with that many miles.

I think is nissan tuning or something like that. Anyways in that mag they bought a 90s sentra se-r I want to say it had 200k or more. Turbo'd. If I remember correctly the car is running strong still today, with mid to low 13s at the track. If there isn't anything wrong with the motor and the compression checks out the why not turbo.

How long a car will last reflects on the last owner. Mine was an older coupe that barely drove the car. 140k and still going strong. I've seen others not even make to 100k with lots of problems.

                    i saw that too...

just make sure you do a compression test first and make sure all the numbers are good, double check everything... get it tuned right when its boosted and you should be good to go

boost = more wear on the parts. with +200k-miles, your parts are already worn down. With the added stress of boost, you will shorten an already short lifespan of your motor. it's common sense here fellas but i can see how one can still last after slappin a turbo in a high-mileage motor. i'm saying it just won't last very long.

reliable, fast, and cheap: you can only choose two.

Boost it, blow it and rebuild

Our engines are so cheap, I could get one for 300-500 range

My plan is go into boost, make a dumb mistake, take out the blown engine, pop another one in and rebuild the blown one for more psi.
