"BRAKE LAMP" light ON?? the one that tells u something burnt out..

i've cked all my rear end lights and they seem okay. I don't know why it is throwing it off. When I start the car it doesn't come on, but when I brake it comes on.

I checked the back, the 2 on each side (blinkers + brake lamps) are fine. The ones on the TRUNK itself are okay too. I really dont know why it's throwing it off, or could it be that my bulbs just aren't correct??

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

have someone step on the brake so you can check all of the brake lights properly and w/ and w/o the headlights on. LIke 91accord4door said, keep the 3rd brake light in mind.

I have had the same problem for about a month now. I have no clue what is going on. I have checked every bulb and had someone press the break when i was watching and everything looks cool. Is it possible for the bulbs to still be bad even though everything looks okay?

Same here. I mean it does get kinda annoying when someone rides in your car for the first time and says. "You got a break light out", even though i know i dont. Just wish i could find a solution or reason.

its just the sensor is really sensitive. A random idea is to get some bulb grease, and put i on all the bulbs, and put them back in(on the metal part). This way they make a good connection, and maybe wont falsely turn that warning light on.

i agree with aero, ive had this happen to mine, and i replaced all the bulbs and used a lil bulb grease on them, problem was fixed.

darn ya. it looks good. all 4 brake bulbs are okay, even liscence plat light is on.. i was thinking perhaps the reverse lights blew out but no they are okay..

i replaced the signal lights already. i am curious if the brake lights are the only things that trigger the BRAKE LAMP or other lights in the electrical system?

                        anyhow thanks guys..

haha maybe i'll reset ecu. thats just really odd. cuz it doesn't pop up but only comes up when i press brakes.. had it just came on by itself then that's proally a faulty wire/sensor or something.
