    Oil in throttle

I got oil in my inktake tube and it's i think getting into my throttle. Iv been having idleing and hesitation problems and im thinkin this is it. Does any one else have this problem and know any thing about it?

can you pinpoint where the oil came from. What did you do? or did you make a mistake and oil got into it you have to give us more stuff to go on to help you out.

now is it the whole intake tube down to the filter, or just up there where the breather goes to the pipe? sometimes with k & n drop in filters they leak and cause this.

your hesitation is mainly that oil most likley...clean out the throttle body and intake system and the pcv and then clean your IAC out
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Im pretty sure its from the head cuz i have a clear tube going to it and its all oil stained and wet. today i sprayd sum intake cleaner and got the oil out the intake and hopfull it work stop acting up. Last year i had a oil leak getting thru the seals gaskets to the spark plugs and those bastards sed they fixed it but theres still oil on my plugs, so im thinkin that could the main problem.thnx guys

Have you been dogging the ass out of your engine? Checked your oil level lately? You might just have so much blow by that the breather line is just pouring oil into the TB. How's the car run? does it feel weak?

The PCV valve is this little plastic thing in the valve cover that has a hose coming off it going to the intake plenum. If it where internally broken it would cause you to get oil into your intake plenum but it would be after your TB so you wouldn't see it.

It's always a good idea to replace that anyway.

Why didnt you just go to AutoZone and get a PCV Valve for about $3 and pick up some throttle body cleaner and do it yourself...
but anyways, did the cleaning really help out that much, maybe I should clean mine.

Wonder if it is piston ring oil blow-by...I think that's what Busted meant. I replaced my PCV not too long ago so I know that's in check. I sprayed that intake cleaner as well. I just received the seals/gaskets today for under the valve cover. I'm gonna replace the spark plug tube seals (have wet plugs) & valve cover gasket, install new plugs & change oil. I'm hoping it's just them stupid tube seals. Do a valve clearance check (cuz I haven't lately).I was also going to recheck the ignition timing because like Busted said....it seems it wasn't set properly. Lastly, reset ECU.

Right now, car burns one qt of oil in a week...man does it stink, gets inside sometimes when I run heat. So I hope this all stops (had camshaft & crankshaft seal replaced..so with all this I hope no oil leaks period!).

Now, if problem pursists I'd have to say it's most likely due to ring oil blow-by...in which I say f**k it & just wait to install my built engine.

BTW...the 90 EX with all I mentioned above....is such a dog now anything around & above 4000 rpm....it's so annoying me. I'd have to agree with Busted that it seems to be more timing related than having fouled plugs < i'm sure this don't help either.

                        so look into that too
