    8lb or 11lb flywheel

    Hey everyone,
I ordered a exedy clutch (stage 1 organic) that came with a 11lb flywheel. I weighed the flywheel and it a 8lb. Just wanted to get the opinion of those folks with setup or similiar. How do you like it? Can you tell a major difference? Should I send it back for an 11lb flywheel? Thanks

Depends on your own personal preference really. With an 8 lb you will have to rev a little bit higher to get the same launch of an 11 lb because of the decrease in the rotational inertia. It could wear down your clutch a little quicker because you only have a stage 1, but if you aren't making a lot of power then it's not a big deal. Mine is 9.5 lb's, and even with the turbo setup I still love it. You can definitely feel a difference so personally I would say keep it.

      thanks..
this car is just a daily driver, highway/travel car.... I have AEM CAI, custom exhaust on a f22a1. I might get some headers or rebuild the motor for turbo in the future but for my needs do you think this is fine?

if the seller had sent me the correct flywheel it would have been an 11. My gs-r has a 8lb. but i never driven the gs-r without the 8lb. I really cant look at the gs-r b/c f22 motor is totally different... torque vs. hp.

rev match better? None of my passengers are able to tell much about my car when i'm driving it...some even think its just stock with a big muffler and a shiny radiator. Mine is 8.8lbs and i have no problems.

Going from a 20 to a 12lb freed up about 10whp for me. Does anyone else's car shake sometimes in traffic if you let the clutch out slowly? Mine does, and, no, it's not stalling. It's at about 1800

i think you guys are making this bigger than it really is. Driveability is absolutely fine with me. My gf drives the car fine...i've even taught a N0ob girl how to drive stick shift in my car for the first time. Maybe you ppl have really big feet or something cause i control the car just fine. A little tap of the throttle here and there is like second nature to me and this is my daily driver, hell its my ONLY car.

Wow youre the First H22 ower that I've heard complain. Most H owners love it. I have heard some complaints from a few B series owners but never an H owner.
