Fixed one issue... another waiting to be fixed (coupe window)

i finally got my ass around to changing my main relay with the one i bought off ebay. great results so far, dosent take like 30 mins to start my car anymore lol. now i have a couple other issues id like to ask about. my driver side window is missing that little metal piece that goes almost at the very top and is round. where can i buy one and how hard is it to install? next, even though i changed my main relay my cruise control still only works ocasionally. what should i check there?

    thanks in advance

This might not help you, but I found that replacing my VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) fixed my cruise control. If your speedometer doesn't work (at all, or just sometimes), that would be an easy fix.

    Good luck!

Is the little round piece the circle metal thing that keeps the window in the track? Its at the upper/rear corner of the glass. If thats what you are looking for, try www.hondaautomotiveparts.com.

Yeah its the pin kit. Kinda pricy for such a little piece. I just replaced mine and it was really easy, although tricky. You gotta put the glass all the way down and remove the screws behind it. Roll the window backup so you can install the pin. You'll need to install the pin with the glass pushed a little ways out of the door. Once the pin is installed, put the window back down a ways. Then install the track (that you previously took out with the screws) back through the inside part of the pin. Put all the screws back in and tighten em up.

If you can't see the screws, there is a rubber strip called a sash that's over the top of the screws. Just peel it off.

You do not have to remove the window to do this job.

Yeah, I had a pain doing it since I did remove the window, and had to assemble 18 things at once. In the end, my window is a tad bit loose again, but better than it was before.

As far as the price, yeah, it kinda sux, but just get 2 incase the other side goes out, and find any other Honda OEM parts that you need, and order them at the same time, and save a bunch of money. Had I gotten mine at the local stealership, I would have paid 25 per side.

RidnLow --- you might try a Chilton's or Haynes book. When I searched just now for "main relay" I got back like 257 threads. FYI, the forum doesn't search words that only have four characters.
