Revving Motor.. again.

mine warms up ok but then after 2 mins it does it

its really killing me! it happened when i installed the cold air. i thought it was because i didnt cap off that huge vacum line but then i bought a cap and removed that huge line and capped it off at the TB. so what is it the fast idle thermo valve? can someone make a list of the COMMON possibilies or tell me if this happened to them after a COLD AIR install?

im saying your idle is too high if its at 1500...its what happend to me, i re-adjusted it...i mean its worth a shot...when ur car gets to 1500 open the hood and adjust the idle pay attention to your throttle cable tention if its too tight or tooo loose.

for the revving after you just put a cold air on or whatever...try resetting the computer.... worked for me... just something you could try.. hope that helps.......

well i mean the battery has been dead for months. i dont drive the 92 ex yet. still building it. its ready though i just need to adjust the vavle , change oil and shizz. how else can a offcially reset the ecu? pull a fuse right?

hey you guys we found out today what the problem is. My brothers civic was doing the EXACT same thing. We changed his MAP sensor and it is all better now. doesn't do it anymore. Try that everyone I am telling you that is the prob.
