Ive been at doing this for a while, and im definatly not dumb enough to let downshift too early, or sit in one gear for too long, etc. i drive it just as you would a manual... and no disrespect to all that say i need to swap it for a manual, but dont you think that if i had the money for a manual swap, then id be on that all ready? thanx for your input guys!

ive done it...got bored of it......upshifting souldnt matter, except ive noticed at least with my car that if u stay in first for too long that itl go past redline
...... and i dont know y down shifting would really matter cuz

think about it...when u slam on the gas and u feel that power burst wat do u think its doing? downshifting!....and ive noticed like owequitit said that if u down shift to far the ecu wont let u go into that gear, itl downshift but not too far

I wonder why some of you had the problem of it downshifting at the wrong time.... I never have that problem, if im doin a 100, and drop it into 1st, it wont go anywhere... until i slow way down, around 32mph it will drop into first..
            odd...

Man the Tranny can handle it, just keep shifting manually if you feel that's what you want to do. The only thing that will wear out will be the Shift Cable!!
If it wasn't meant to be shifted manually they wouldn't have put a 1 & 2 on the console.
Just like if cows weren't meant to be eaten they wouldn't have been made out of meat!!!
