remember cats never just die, something else is killing it. perhaps an 02 sensor that is out of whack but not enough to trigger a cel, could be why its sluggish too.

I noticed that my car is also really sluggish in second. I have an auto which is crap anyway but every other gear seems to have a lot more pickup. I think I am just going to bore it back out, or weld on straight pipe and see what happens.No longer working on the cb. To much time and money has been put into it. Check my for sale thread where the whole car will be parted out.Comment

Yep what he said could be your o2 slowly goin out on you. IF you wanna diagnose if its your cat disconnect it from the DP and drive around with it its gonna be obnoxiously loud for a while but if you feel a change that could be where your problem is.
