    Vibration/humming PLEASE HELP!

Hey I just got a CB7 yesterday for 300 dollars. Its a 93 LX. I just replaced the valve cover gasket, spark plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter and tranny fluid. It runs great!

My only problem is, when the car is moving(doesnt happen when the car is revving and stopped), there is a vibration/humming coming from the rear passenger side quarter panel. I thought it was the exhaust at first because it sounds like when you downshift to engine brake the car...I thought that the tranny was stuck in the same gear...so i changed the fluid...now the shifts are more smooth...but the noise is still there...I was thinking maybe it could be tire rub, or a worn bushing....or could it be because the tires are bald? please help. Thanks.

IMO it could be the rear wheel bearing .. mine had that noise to when i bought mine, turned out to be the bearings at the rear.

is it only when u are moving, gets louder when u go faster? sounds like a rocket in a way?

my guess is wheel bearing, lol thats the only thing back there that can cause it...

              good question....drums or discs....
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I was thinking of swapping the whole rear suspension. Like timmyotool's rear disc DIY. here's some pics...

And that would eliminate my bearing problem...since a new bearing is like 120...and both the rear discs cost timmy 240 at the junkyard...what do you guys think?
