temp gauge issue - other options ?

    Hey all,

i have a 93 Accord EX. The temp gauge practically goes to high right when the car turns on, and i know that its not overheating that quickly. I have changed all sensors (temp/coolant) and rad fan is on directly. Has anyone come up
with a fix for the gauge, or have added a after market one somehow/somewhere ? I am not trying to drive around and next thing you know it blows. I have had the heater core pipe blow twice on me, but besides that there are no issues.

    any thoughts ?

Just thinking, the sensor just has resistance. So with it fully closed it should read X on the two wires coming out, and back at the same wires on the ECU / Cluster should be the same. ? (I'd have to dig further here). But just thinking, make sure the resistance of the coolant temp sensor (the one that controls the gauge) reads the same at both ends of the wires in the loom as far up to the gauge cluster as possible. After that you're looking into the gauge cluster fault...
