    Short throw shifter

Made a DIY short shifter on my 92 EX 5 speed.
it feels pretty great. I didnt measure anything and just eyeballed the new locations and it turned out real nice.

I welded on some pieces of 4mm flatbar and drilled holes in them to bolt the cables to. the sideways arms bolt has to be swapped for a shorter one since it touches the center console plastic from the inside.

it was a fun project and didnt require much skill. basically just need a hacksaw, file, welder and a power drill with a sharp 8mm bit, maybe a smaller 3-4mm one to make pilot holes.

This looks like a great mod. Good work.

This used to be a fairly common mod, primarily with a bolt-on piece that people make out of hardware store pieces. However, an old member Yeamans modified and sold a fair number of short shifters similar to this. nicely done!

BTW, if you want to lower the height of the shifter, you can bolt the shifter bucket to the bottom of the shifter plate rather than to the top of it
