Alot of the older members on here might remeber this problem with my car a while back. I was soooooo blown that week.
Well all those problems were totally of the scal of what was wrong with the car. The was actually sitting for a while after getting a report from carfax. 
I just so happened to get a donation of a apexi N1 exhaust from one of my friends. Well the preoblem with the car, was the fact that the old exhaust on the car was shot and was sending to much back pressure to the o2 senser. Once i put on the new exhaust and started it right up, it purred like a kitten.
So FYI if anyone out there has this kind of problem check to see if your o2 senser is bad or has been touched, cause brake cleaner doesn't allways solve the problem.
