    knock noise

alright last night my car started with a knocking noise coming from the engine
i am leaning heavyly on the main bearings or the rod bearins

when i started the car this morning i heard a couple of knocks then it went away, i drove it a little and the noise comes back at bout 3500 rpm and up. but not a idle,

    are my bearings shot? thnks

      thanks for the quick reply

yeah i added oil and it does what i described, before it was a constant knocking, now after oil it does above 3500 rpm, i'm thinking of just replacing them.

i just finished replacing my rod bearings, man they were severly damaged, good thing nothing happened to the crank,

finished crank a few time so the oil can get around, then started right up, and went very smooth,

i suggest you check your oil more often, i didn't but now i learned my lesson
