    Engine problem, smoke

So, I was outside messing around today, and decided to rev the engine pretty high while in my driveway. I take it to about 6,000 rpm and I notice this light colored smoke coming out of the tailpipe (not sure if it is white or blue) and a lot of water too. What do you guys think it is? Note: I have only noticed this at very high RPMs, 5k+.

I know someone is going to scream compression test. I guess I will bite the bullet and go ahead and get one of those guages. But I will not have time to do it until Sunday.

Well could very well be age.. I have 130k miles and mine will do that also.. Could be also that we tend to run a lil rich up high so might be some unburnt gas.

If you have a cat. convertyer on the car that sounds about right. The water is from the cat actually working correctly, and most cars usually kick out a small amount of smoke at higher rev just because the amount of exhaust passing through the pipes in such a short period of time. A car could run like shit but not smoke at all, and at the same time, a car could be running excellent and still kick out some smoke at higher revv's.

Good, because this afternoon I was kinda freaking out because I was worried about where I was going to get the money for a swap. CB7Tuner saves the day! I might still do that compression test though.

You wanna hear how obsessive/compulsive I can be with my car? I usually do a compression test after every hard driving session. I'll let the inside collect mud and dirt and I'll even kick the car for no reason...but I check to make sure things are mechanically straight ALL THE TIME!!!! My car smokes, but I do run slightly rich, I have straight pipe exhaust and no cat.....but it also runs with the H22 Accords so oh well, keep on smokin baby!

One more quick question Vacuum tester = compression tester?

Edit: Nevermind, I am pretty sure they must be different now that I can actually find the tool on their website.

dont buy the one in the pic, you need one with a hose extension on it. the one you showed wouldnt even reach to the spark plug holes.
