    clutch problems

Hey, I have a couple clutch problems right now. The most obvious one is when I let off of my pedal and sometimes when I press it, it sounds like an old door creaking. The second one is at about 3500 rpm my clutch makes sort of a grinding sound, except almost a buzz. Then it stops instantaneously. I think this is also related to my car making a grinding noise when I shift into 3rd and 5th. I have an Exedy clutch in right now that was installed in February along with a new transmission so I don't think I should be having any of these probelms. Does anyone know what these could be?

The creaking is probaly either the spring at the pedal or the spring at the clutch fork. Might want to lubricate both and see if that helps.

dam ur describing the same exact problems i got. The sqeaking I fixed by topping off the clutch fluid. It was a little low the first few days i bought the car & i filled it & it immediately solved the prob. i filled it with dot 3 brake fluid. Check the owners manual before you fill it up though. The grinding, i have no idea, but i need some fkin HELP with it, cuz its getting on my nerves. Hope this helped a little.

I've been told this is a result of worn synchros, or the clutch could need bleeding... any ppl wanna add to this?

But I just put the transmission in there. It had 87000 verified miles on it. Whoever owned that car must have SUCKED at driving if the transmission was a lemon at 87000 miles. I say that sarcastically, I don't think the transmission is the problem.

i had that problem! i just took some hi-temp grease and put it on the ball of the slave cylinder for the clutch. try that. it might take a lil while for it to work itself in there if you don't remove it completely and apply it that way. but it should work.
O'skool fo sho! You might hate, but I been doin' this long before you know.

grinding when shifting is most likely synchro related... as for the squeaking I agree that it may very well be the actual pedal itself...

                      Bump after 2 years.

I searched and found this thread. I am having this problem to. The clutch pedal makes this weird squeak noise when i press and depress it. I wired up my foglights, and the wires pass around the clutch pedal and at first I thought that was the problem. But it has been doing this before I wired the fogs up. It's a creak sound like the others described. Anyone know how to fix it?
