    seat belt conversion

hey guys i tried searching for this but i havent had any luck. i want to know if any body has did a conversion from those dumb automatic seat belts to the manual seat belts. i have a 90-91 accord and putting 92-93 parts on it. i totaled my 93 accord and got a shell for a 90 accord. i dont like the seat belts at all but i was wondering if you guys knew how to convert auto to manual seat belts. ive also done a trunk conversion and all that. but i know you guys like pics so here a pic of my broken car.

a 4 point harness is cool when you racing but its a pain when you want to get something out of the glove compartment or change a cd sometimes even haha. but in my opinion i like the automatic seat belts

I used to dislike the automatic seatbelts. Now I just think of them as a luxury touch.

@whatever210: Glad to hear the swap worked out.

Good to hear. How long did it take you to do the conversion?

I might consider doing this as well if I find a donor 92 or 93 coupe.

I don't really mind the auto belts but i'm gonna have to replace my passenger side belt because it's a little ripped... I figure I might as well do the conversion while I'm at it.

i did both sides in about 2 hours. and that was drilling holes and removal of seat belts thing and everything. i got both sides and they still work and there in perfect condition and i still have the seat belts if you want them since yours are starting to rip. just let me know. yeah i think you can pick up the seat belt stuff at a local junk yard if your wanting to do the manual conversion.

Ya they are pretty luxary haha you just sit there and it buckles for you! but the only thing i dont like is i took out the passenger seat and since the seat belt its connected to the seat the beeping thing was goin off like crazy. So i had to take the whole seat belt thing off with air tools, because its almost impossible to do by hand.

realy, air tools. it was pretty easy to take off. if it was easier to take off with air tools then i prob should have used mine then.

heres a pic after i got done wiht the trunk swap as well. the car im putting stuff on is 90-91 and im putting parts from a 92-93 on the 91. every thing is going good. i hope that when i do the swap that the wiring harnest from the 93 match up to the 90. i have dual runners on this engine as well and yes the 93 is a ex. so that means im gunna have to swap ecus over and run a new line for the dual runners to work.
