    wierd code problem

as some of you know i jsut swapped in an f20B into my car and it threw codes 9and 14 so i thought the code 14 might be cause of the TB gaskt that autozone gave me cause it was a solid gasket so i go abd get some mr gasket and make one. well b4 i made one the car would idle fine when cold then when it gets warm it would idle between 1300-1500 going up and down, and after i made the gasket it idles between 1300-1500 right when i start it up and still throws a code, but know when i go to check it there no code saved...wtf? and ideas?

ps: my ecu isnt bad cause the car starts up fine

Did you reset the ECU first? If not, then remove the 7.5 amp fuse from the engine fuse box for at least 10 seconds then put it back in. Any new codes, should come up.

A solid gasket?? Maybe you were supposed to cut it out yourself Anyway have you tried cleaning your IACV and crap? or try replacing it? And that number 1 tdc sensor is in your dizzy.

Unfortunately, cleaning the IACV ain't gunna fix your problem.
That's the Wrong TB Gasket. No matter which way you lay the gasket it won't line up to cover the Idle Ports. Plus it is damaged around the Mount holes.
Go to Honda & get the correct gasket for the Application.
Take the TB with you as a sample.
Don't put any sealant of any kind on the New Gasket and be careful not to over tighten the TB.

grrr ok so i got a new iacv and when i first started her up she idled smooth at around 16-1700 then it rose a bit and dropped down to 1300 and started doint the idle surge thingy but didnt throw a code so i shut it off and thougt it might be cause i had a vacuum line running from the intake tube to the planum so i took the line off and put a plug over the port. Ok so i start it up and now right when i start the car up it revs to 2k and dies it throws the iacv code still. Could there be anything else that causes it to throw this code? is there a difference in the 90-91 and 92-93 iacv's? thanks

edit: i took the iacv to a guy i used to work with cause he has a cb also and it ran fine

anyone else know what could cause the iacv to throw this code besides the iacv itself cause i know the iacv is good but it still throws the code,

I cleaned it out really good and now itll still rev to 2k and i hear a loud click comming from the iacv then the idle drops to a point where it almost stalls then comes back up to 2k and repeats and still throw code 14

should i have the fuel modifiers enabled? cause right now they arnt
