my auto body teacher told me that my car is a 2dr sedan. it isnt a coupe because the b pillar connects all the way to the roof. just sum info i thought id pass along.

Hmm id like to see some more input on that but i dont think it has anything to do with the pillars....most cars have an A, B, and C pillar. So i cant see how that would determine.

if you have been in the beat seat of a coupe and the back seat of a sedan there isnt much difference other than the fact that you have to climb in and out around the seats. same amount of room so in a way I can see how a 2dr can also be classified as a sedan, if based on seating. but about the pillar stuff..who cares

Im pretty sure the B piller your talking about runs in the same direction as every other one of every other car.....the piller is diff on a 4dr and a 2dr.....I have a 2dr EX-R that in canada is considerd a sedan.Comment

I forget if it is the EPA or the DOT that makes the distinction, but it is actually based on the amount of interior volume.
Thus the 2 door Accord is a 2 door sedan, while the Prelude is a coupe.
Car and Driver has talked about it a few times.Comment
