    Engine Problem WOT

Just recently managed to get the engine started up and running.
Havn't actually driven the car yet just running it in the drive way.
Now the problem is that when the car is idling, and I go WOT it doesnt rev straight up, there is a long pause, and sometimes backfires out the intake.
Timing is set at 17 degrees.
The engine is a new F22A1, using F20A Soch intake manifold and computer.
    Any ideas guys?

How does it idle? Check the throttle cable if its sticking. Try setting it back to 15btdc and see how it runs.

Yep Ill try set the timing to 15 later on this arvo.
It does have a strange idle, varies each time, so i cleaned out the idle screw this morning, and now it seems fine

Turbo car, but running as N/A - standard injectors, standard ecu and no intercooler piping cause I have to drive it to my new place on thursday

hmmm...if it was a small carbd engine (lawnmower/snowblower), I'd say valve issue for the backfire from intake (maybe ignition timing), and the delayed throttle response is usually cause by a lean idle. It'll idle good, but hitting the throttle kills the engine or it takes awhile to rev up. But that's a different beast. can't say how much it'll apply to this engine.

So I tried changing the timing this morning, made no difference, and had more time to play around with it today.
No matter what the revs are at when I go WOT it just loses all power and the revs drop, idle is irratic again, and you have to almost pump the throttle lightly to get the revs up.
Please note-This is while in neutral, havn't driven car yet.

What else was changed in this setup? I will hunt for a project thread in a sec.

Fixed now, I had put 3.0L of gas in it which must've been enough to make it run but not enough to actually drive it
Put 10L in it and now its fine
