    Darn fans

Already searched. Didn't find what I was looking for. N-E-Wayz the fan wont come on. heres the deal. The mofos that had my car b4 did some cobbling, so the ac fan wiring is bad and the motor is bad. The radiator fan motor works(I boosted it), but wont come on.

I replaced that thermo switch in the t stat housing with one from autozone. Still wont work. I Checked for power at #8 fuse under the dash, the fan relay and cooling fan fuse under the hood.

Power is there, fuses, relay are good. I even cut off the thermo switch connector and replaced it with the ac switch connector cause the wiring was starting to corrode. No exposed/broken wiring from fusebox under hood, to thermo switch to fan motor. Didn't check under wiring loom/insulation cause its insulated..LOL Here is what I have eliminated.

    Fan relay,
    Thermo switch,
    Fuses, fuse boxes,
    Fan motor,
    wiring that was not insulated,

    Whats the missing link here?

Sooooo I ended running the radiator fan to the #6 fuse under dash so that the fan would come on when I turn the ignition on. I'm also thinking about replacing that ac fan motor, and running a toggle switch. So does anybody know from experience what I missed? the fan timer doesn't have anything to do with this does it?
just shuts off the fan when u shut your car offafter a while dont it?

LOL. I see the mods did some editing.

Already did that b4 I left. I ran it to the #6 fuse under dash. It comes on when the ignition is on.

Ralphie I will look for those round relays.

Well I figured out what the problem was. I noticed that my car has been running hot even with the fan on continuously(wired to ignition). Little leaks keep springin up here and there(replaced heater valve hose yesterday). I eliminated the entire circuit yesterday. Everything is good. No shorts, bad wiring etc. I had the car running for 15 minutes at idle.

I noticed the lower radiator hose was not getting hot. Basically the thermo switch cant get a read on how hot the coolant is ,so that it can send the signal to turn the fan on when the engine reaches the appropriate temperature. It cant get a read when there is no coolant/antifreeze to get a read from, because the furking coolant is being restricted in the radiator.
