Easy way to identify SH block is the back of the block is cast different. The oil filter is in a different location and you cannot bolt a stock intermediate shaft to it. The ATTS system took the place of the intermediate shaft. To use in a CB& would take the fabrication of a bracket to be able to bolt the intermediate shaft up.Gary A.K.A. Carter

right if you have a an sh block then a normal f/h series tranny will NOT bolt to it. i am still looking for that link for you. gimme some time. only the base h22a4 the trannies will mate.

The transmission bolts up fine. In fact I think it is possible to use an SH tranny in a CB7. The ATTS unit is completely independent of the tranny. It bolts up where the intermediate shaft would normally go.Gary A.K.A. Carter

im almost positive the transmission itself would bolt on, but the back of the block is very different and you cannot bolt a normal intermediate shaft on, plus it would hit the oil filter's new location.

Not sure about it hitting the oil filter exactly. I will find out soon enough though.Originally posted by cp[mike]nope :P

This thread on honda society shows an SH block with a 5th generation accord intermediate shaft bolted up.Originally posted by The G-ManEasy way to identify SH block is the back of the block is cast different. See that hole above where the end of the intermediate shaft bolts? That is where the thing for the oil filter bolts up.
Edit:
This honda-tech thread solves everything:

This is NOT correct. How do I know? Because I'm driving an H22a4 sh motor with an F22 trans.Originally posted by bagoon316right if you have a an sh block then a normal f/h series tranny will NOT bolt to it. i am still looking for that link for you. gimme some time. only the base h22a4 the trannies will mate.

As far as getting an engine, AZaccord has an engine for sale (but it doesn't have crank).
Not really, just fabbing an adapter plate for the half-shaft and tapping the block.WTB - IACV for H22a4.

Theres no tapping of the block required. the holes where the atts bolted are already tapped. However, it is not required, but i highly reccomend that you tap the adaptor plate for teh intermediate shaft bolts. Reason being, i that there is no way to tighten up the bottom bolt on the intediate shaft, being that there is not a nut there (it will not fit between the block and plate).Originally posted by koffinNot really, just fabbing an adapter plate for the half-shaft and tapping the block.
