a real ghetto solution for ya. take a big candle and hold it to the belts while everything is running. it'll give it a light coat of wax and hopefully get rid of the squealing. if that doesnt fix it... uh... tell us.
O'skool fo sho! You might hate, but I been doin' this long before you know.

It wasn't a pulley that made the noise, it was the Alternator Belt. I literally spent 2 hours with a 14mm sprocket wrench tightening it, and it still squealed. The Honda guy gave a few good turns and it has been bliss ever since.

I think I will probably buy a 14mm and 17mm. The ones I want have swiveling heads. Does $30 each sound right?

are these the kinda wrenches that are relatively new, wit the closed end, like an open ratchet? I am thinkin for 30 bux, that sounds good, considering I get sumthin like that for around 45..

Replacing the belt doesnt solve the problem. You have to tension it properly

                    Do not spray your belts.

It is more than likely your alternator belt (if you have A/C, it runs around your compressor as well). Belt squeal on startup tends to be this belt and it should be adjusted for a tight belt tension, otherwise you will get squeal. Also, after a new belt has been on, it may need adjusting in a few days, after that it should run fine.
