    low idle

When I first start my car in the morning its a little hard to start takes a few cranks then when it starts it idles rough for about 2 secs. then the idle goes up to about 1500 rpm until it warms up then the idle will drop down to about 450-500 and shake real bad at idle. it drives fine and no hesitations. Any suggestions.
    I need a 14b or 16g turbo!

Before you try adjusting your idle. Check your IACV first to make sure that it isn't the cause of your problem.

      How to Check your IACV

      • Start your engine and hold the engine idle speed at 3,000rpm. With no load on the engine. (Transmission in P (A/T) or Neutral (M/T) Until the rad fans comes on.
      • Once the fan(s) have come one let the engine idle on it's own.
      • With the engine idling on it's own disconnect the IACV 2pin connector.

      • Was there a reduction in engine speed?

      - Yes
      • Intermitent failure, check for loose or corroded wire connections between the IAC and ECU.

      - No
      • Remove and clean the IAC valve.

      • Replace cleaned IAC and retest.
      • If problem still persists replace with a known-good IAC and retest.

After you have checked to make sure that it is not your IACV move to adjusting your idle speed screw.

does she still put out a decent amount of power when you get down on her?
or does your motor run rough at any specific rpm range?
        Fun with Paint... haha.

          I Agree With GHOST!

The IACV valve assumes idle control once it warms up. The Fast idle valve controls idle while warming up. remove your intake tube and while car is warming up there should be suction coming from the bottom hole in throttle body (fitv valve suction normal until warms up) after cooling fans come on there should be no suction. feel for suction over top hole. there should be suction. and change in idle. if not valve is bad stuck closed and no cel triggered. normal idle is 750-900 rpm and half of that consist from iacv valve at idle in park. tes to ghost specs but i think youll find it bad.

check that first. i agree with ghost.
