Sorry but I call bullshit. Theres something to be said about Honda's "super reliability" when an 83 Chevy El Camino has had less problems than my car, my dads 98 accord, my step brothers 91 Civic and his girlfriends 95 Civic... Sorry, but oldass Chevy for me.

Its not really extra per se. Just making sure it gets regular oil changes are about all you'll need to do extra. As you know, turbos aren't as forgiving as NA when it comes to oil changes.Originally posted by WeDgE
Why do people have this myth that turbo'ing a car will create all this extra maintenance? If you do it right, it will be quite reliable.

Like I said its ectra maitnenance with the oil tuning blahze. BUt mxcx it seems to me like you dont give a damn about hondas its no myth its reality . Okay how many el caminos do you see on the street not many.
How many hondas do you see in the street hmm plenty point proven right there your el camino wouldnt last that long as long as a honda would look how many people beat those cars to hell and they still run even on 3 cylinders yours has what 8 to blow, gas mileage is well uh lets not get into that too. And the car is old ill probably see it on horsepower tv seeing people tryin to bring it back to life out of a junkyard.
Thats what happens when you deal with old muscle cars you dont keep up with your honda comon now tell me the truth I mean comon look at it you have no choice but to keep up with the other car fearing its gonna break down on you at the worst possible time. You can keep your chevy they are good for not gettin a tune up but gas prices are looking pretty steep these days. 1

A bit over 250k, and no, we actually take better care of the cars than most people. Not sure about my stepbrother or his gf, but the two Accords have never missed and oil change or any scheduled maint.Originally posted by Sho Nuff
how many miles on the el camino? Is it possible that you guys take bad care of the hondas? And what kind of problems have you had with the hondas?

A better question to ask would be how many early 80s Hondas do I see on the street. And the answer to that would be absolutely none. Chevy stopped makin El Caminos in 87, so there arent too many new ones rollin around (none, if youre slow)Originally posted by h22sparkle

You, sir, have no experience with anything but your car. Have you ever even driven anything made before 1990? And another thing- I wouldnt call 23mpg bad for a 21 year old five liter engineThats what happens when you deal with old muscle cars you dont keep up with your honda comon now tell me the truth I mean comon look at it you have no choice but to keep up with the other car fearing its gonna break down on you at the worst possible time. because some people like to slap a turbo on there car with little to no engine management and call it a day. those are the people that post about there engines going kaboom and you never hear about the ones that last.Originally posted by WeDgE

What pieces of crap do you see? Either you dont see any big blocks or you see some really bad drivers. The only track Ive been to (I dont race, dumbass, look at the sig) is a 1/8 and all the "imports" as they like to call em (doesnt make sense since there are cavs and neons classified as "imports"Originally posted by Accord R33
im sorry pal but your the kind of guy I love to watch the imports smoke at the track. your big block chevys are a peice of crap get over it.
) are running 8s-12s. The "pieces of shit big blocks" (most of em are just small blocks) are running 9s and lower for the most part. Who sucks? Oh yeah, thats right, the front drive economy cars.

Then you dont see any good drivers. Even so, if people with newer Camaros spent half the cash you guys do just on suspension, they would kill. The problem is that no one does that. They throw a couple thousand into the engine and think thats that.Originally posted by Accord R33
