check your clutch fluid level, if low add brake fluid in that... if your fluid level are ok, bleed the clutch hydraulic lines.. its happend often that this system get air in, and when you press the clutch pedal you have to compress air in lines before to be able to disengage the clutch, and sometime you still cant disengage the clutch all the way, its cause hard shifting. hope it will help you

yep sounds like you have air in your clutch line. just bleed just as you would with brakelines and you're set. for the starting problem check if your clutch switch is loose. there is a safety switch located on the clutch pedal assembly.

Also the clutch Master cylinder and/or Slave cylinder may be leaking, If they are, When you compress the fluid (clutch in) some fluid leaks out, and when you decompress the fluid (clutchout) some air can get sucked back in through the leak.

Clutch pedal assembly - The bracket that holds your clutch pedal.

Check your clutch reservior is full of fluid, if not then theres a leak somewhere

i has a very very very very very very .. and i mean very little hole in my clutch line .. it would sometimes give me soft clutch engagements, most of the time it would be fine. My fluid level slowly dropped but i lost so little at a time i never noticed it. Check around the clutch line to see if it's wet anywhere near it. Mine wasn't too wet .. I'd say just replace the clutch line to be safe. Should be like 25-30 bucks. Or u can opt for SS clutch line.. lol.

I had to replace my slave cylinder yesterday. It was a pain in the ass for me (big hands). My Clutch pedal would stick to the floor, and i would have to pick it up with the top of my foot to shift. I raised the hood and seen where the leak was and it was at my slave cylinder. I touched to boot on it and it started spraying out the fluid.

But also if your fluid gets too low, it will get air in the lines from there.

Just take your time on what ever it is. Don't rush at all.

I would say that you have two problems, the air in the clutch line being one.

It can take a lot to bleed the lines, too. I just had to do it after swapping my engine, and I ran a lot of fluid through it before I felt like I had all the air out. I would get solid fluid, and then a little bit of air, then solid fluid, etc. Just remember, if you don't get it all, it might not disengage at a bad time

The other problem is that your clutch switch might be loose/failing. Air in the clutch line shouldn't affect the car starting/not starting (the switch that controls that is part of the pedal), so you should be sure to check that.
