Because it wasnt about the headlights. The BH DIY only talks about the HLs. I was curious about tails and corners.

is it because he used a heat gun, and not an oven?

<--doesnt own a heat gun.
(Yes, i know theyre cheap...)
Just the oven idea seems better as its an overall heat, as opposed to just one area at a time.

it's really not.
with a heat gun, you can work one section at a time, gradually opening it up. you'll always have a hot section to work with, as long as you hold the heat gun on it.
with the oven, you take it out. let's say its at 225. the light is 225 all over. you start to pry, and it starts to cool. your first corner may of been seperated at 225, but the second 125, and it may begin to start cracking as you're trying to take it apart, because it isn't hot enough.
i dunno. sounded easier

True....
I used a hair dryer on my tails and that was a mess. Heat gun might work a little better, lol.
