    No you need rods but the seel house brand billet steel rods for less than $400. I also called and they can do rods and pistons both shipped for less than 1k. lol, no comment on the vids SOHC-FTW?

      As always runs damn good, it definitely runs better after the new mods and tune.

        You know I used to have a 85 gt with ported explorer heads, e304 cam, edlebrock performer intake, hooker long tubes and 600 edlebrock carb with mechanical secondaries. I still miss it.

          E303 ya mean nice mild roller cam? was it the stock block because 85-86 used forged flat top's with no reliefs so you have to fly cut the domes to use an aftermarket camshaft.
          Everything i've listed is what i can see, i haven't gotten into it to see if it's a roller or flat block i was told it was a 79 block but no telling with a c4 tran. Cars still at my buddys place whom i bought it from so no direct access to open it up just yet. This will make my second fox i love them it's my reality dream car ha, i am hoping for mid 8's on engine in the 8th with very light mods.

            The block was a roller out of a 91. To hit mid 8's in the 1/8th all you need is a set of 4.10's trickflow heads and a good cam.

              Yeah 91 block is good to go. And for mid 8's xe262h cam (if flat tappet, If its a roller either a B, E, or trick flow stg1 cam) explorer heads a small stall an 3.73 will do it i have a C4 (Which will be getting a B&M rebuild an shift kit) so no need for 4.10's especially if i want to drive it on the street with it being a 3speed. I've seen ton's of explorer topend e303 combos run mid 8's with no problems though they are usually EFI so i should have the power easily even carbed.

                Most carb intake s are better flowing than fuel injected with the exception of the most recent trickflow intakes. Sad part is my. Cb is just barely slower than my stang was.

                  A good healthy stock MAF gt should run in the 14s stock, but i'd agree beside on the track you would out pull the common explorer topend mild cam fox with ease. It's the gearing and hole shot that would separate one from your cb, yours pulls something fierce after 2nd.

                    That's why I want the euro r trans. I think that and another 30whp and I could pull a mid to high 13 with no prob.

                      200whp a set of decent radials i don't see 13s being an issue you've got the speed as is. You'd tear up plenty of cars that wouldn't exact it even more so if you gain that extra 30whp.

                      Seening stock block old 5.0's in the 11s i'd like to get there one day but i'll be spraying.

                                when it launches without wheel hop it should be doing 0-60 in the mid to low 5 sec range. the killer for me is my 60ft times and how low it falls going into 2nd. i really cant wait till i get the euro r trans. instead of hitting 2nd at about 4200 i'll hit at 5k which is about peak tq so it wont bog as much and it being lsd will help my 60ft times. if i can pull off a low 14sec pass on street tires at 174whp then slicks and 200whp should definitely put me where i want to be.
