If any Canon guys are looking for a nice zoom lens check this one out LOL. You will need a bit of a muscle and a sturdy tripod as it weighs over 30lbs and a hefty wallet as its $120,000. Its 1200mm f5.6 and thats on a full frame! Thats almost 2000mm on a crop body!!!

according to the video on B&H this special purpose lens was made by special order and used during the olympics some years ago.

its been on there forever, but the price fluxuates very often. Its a hefty piece of glass.

Built-to-order by Canon from 1993 to 2005, each lens was hand-crafted at the rate of about 2-per-year and a delivery time of about 18 months. Only a dozen-or-so were ever made. Who bought them? National Geographic magazine and Sports Illustrated are known to own a couple, the Feds probably have a few squirreled away somewhere, and a few well-heeled photo enthusiasts.

Pretty crazy stuff but I can understand it for animal photography where you can't get close enough into the habitat of the animals because they'd get spooked. Still, 2000mm equivilent is just plain nuts
