Summer Meet 2008.....track day...need interest

TRACK DAY INFORMATION

TIME AND PLACE:

This will be taking place at Shannonville Racetrack....It is located about 15 min east of Belleville.

The dates as of right now are to be decided....I say we choose between these dates: Aug. 8, Aug. 15, Aug. 22....These are all the Friday evenings that are available....If anyone has a date theyd like to have this on say it and if it works out to be the best one well choose that.

COST AND NUMBER OF PEOPLE:

The cost will be finalized once we know how many people are for sure going...The goal is to have 30 people go....and if 30 people attend there will be two payments of 45 dollars....One payment will be collected by either Starchland (Jeff) or I....The final payment will be collected closer to the day of the actual meet.

If I am attending (unsure cuz of the move) we can also hold a BBQ here at my place prior to the track....Theres enough parking and its easy enough to find so this would be a good starting point I think.

FURTHER INFORMATION:

I will be going in to Shannonville on Monday or Tuesday to hopefully set-up an account with them so we can book the track....I will then be able to provide further information

I would rather we rent an actual track over the drag strip because my car is not going to be set-up to go fast in a straight line.....but I think the drag strip would be cheaper to get

if we can get the long track it would be best, I think the the larger sweeping bends are more CB7 than the tight ones.

I would love to do a long distance cruise. Shannonville would be a great trek.

I cannot give my word on it bc There is no date, and depending of what my situation will be then. (Job, no job, can i get off, vacation), shit like that. I do not give out my word unless i know i can make it.

But I am interested.

I just wanted to comment, if you can get a spot at dusk, say 3hrs at the end of the day its usually a bit cheaper because at this time the sun is setting and usually there is a little sun in your eyes at one corner, for example...so if you dont mind doing that its a bit cheaper. Also, if you need help filling spots I can definately get 3 or 4 guys out if need be.

Ya especially since the shortest track is about 2 km.....so i guess it wouldnt be grounded at all.
