    torn between wheels....

I am torn between the rims i had and the rims i just got.
I like both, but i am not completely satisfied with either.

    For starters,

    New. 17's

    Old. 16's

Both sets only have two good tires.

    Pro's and cons of each.

    New pros,
    Bigger
    Better tires
    Stronger made
    need no cleaning

    New cons
    Heavy as shit(18 or 19lbs)
    one is bent a little
    17" tires are more $$

    Old Pros
    Light as air(14 or 15lbs)
    Almost clean
    Cheap tires
    Perfect size

    Old Cons
    Need 2 tires right now
    need another 2 fairly soon
    need to be polished

I really want to get a set of nice 16's with a lower offset and are wider,
    like 7.5 or 8".

I would be able to trade the 17's quicker than the 16's but i could also sell
the 17's for more. Maybe $400. I want $200 for the old ones after
    i clean them up.

But I don't know WTF i should do. I might just leave it to fate and see
which ones i can get tires for first.

What would anyone else do in this position?

man, I think that if you dropped your car a couple inches those older ones would look sick. They have a nice flush look to them, kinda subtle yet not as plain as a stock wheel. Nothing wrong with light weight wheels! My 18's are somewhat heavy so I can vouch for that. Hook em up with new tires and it'll look tight.

i like the older ones better. you can get new tires, you can polish them yourself....thats just how i look at it.

now slam your ride and get a CD5 lip.

I already have a legend lip. Just needs to be re-mounted.

bent rims are a no no! the old ones look way better anyways. just buy 4 decent tires and polish the wheels up. if anything run on steelies for a lil bit while you polish the wheels on your own time

It's only bent on an inside lip and i can have it re finished easily. it's not even a big deal, i would just rather get it right. It'll still hold air, just has a gash in the tire.

Yeah, the thing is that you can pick up a set of rims for the same price as a set of tires around here. So why buy tires instead of a whole set of rims and tires?

the 16"s alot less problems and cheaper tires too

Plus I think they look good, I don't like the look of those 17"s

Sell the 17"s for some dough to drop it
