Just looked at a cb7 that turned out to be a real pile. I saw it last night and got excited at first, because it was exactly like mine with the exception of it was an EX, not an LX. I mean it was the same color as mine and all! I thought if I got it and gave my LX to my wife, I'd have twins! But when I went and looked it over just now, the ABS light was on, the gear indicator was flashing, it barely went into gear... Talk about dissappointed! Oh well. Maybe later I'll get lucky...

Just take ur time in finding another cb7 and u never know u might get lucky finding one good condition.

Some of those problems are just small.. the ABS can be on because of the brake fluid being too low. Mine was always on until I put more fluid into it, and the gear shifter light can just be a bad sensor.. thats where the Accord manual comes in to play.

Barely going into gear can be a bad shift solenoid too.. nothing too major. but good luck finding another one, I am sure you will.

You really think those probs. are minor?! The lot was asking $1650 on the road, then told me $1500 OTR. Maybe if I give it a couple of days and check back, perhaps if I bring those probs. to the lot owner's att. he would drop the cost a bit more...
One more thing I noticed though... after starting the car, I reved it a few times from under the hood and one time heard a loud pop from inside the air intake filter box. Any idea what the hell that was?

I found a 92 EX with no rust and under 180K for like 1600, and it was a stick too.

I remember not too long ago finding a 92 EX auto wtih fogs and 150K for 2495.

I was flipping through the tennessean this morning and saw several cb7's that sounded like they were worth checking out for resonable money. Are you looking at car lots or private sellers cars?

Well for the SRS light, you can go out and buy a bottle of DOT3 brake fluid for like .99 cents and check both of the containers since it's an EX. Since it has ABS, there are 2 resivores that hold brake fluid and if one is low pour it in and theres a good chance the light will go off.. or possibly the fuse is bad for it.

Dude you could always do a conversion to a manual. As for the ABS light...the sensors need to be replaced.

I know a kid on this board who had the same problem with his ABS light he just covered it up lol :cough:maple:cough:

I wish I could find deals like that. The closest I've found to a car that I've liked was a 92 Black Ex Coupe manual with 165k for $2700. Which I think is a bit much for it. Hopefully I'll find a good one soon so I can get another car with my insurance settlement.
