        Good idea.

        I have 3. Mongoose, Trek 3700, Trek 7200
        Pics:

7200. Not really a fan of this anymore. Has a giant cushy seat which gave me swamp ass today. Also has a soft suspension, which doesn't fit with my current mountain biking activities.

Mongoose. This thing is from the 80's. It belonged to my dad and now it's mine. It's from the era when everything was built like a tank.

3700. This one has fallen into favor lately. I use it for most of my daily rides. This vs the mongoose this will win. Fatter tires and it has suspension. But, I broke 3 axles with this. Then I had it upgraded to a different hub and axle. No problems since! Neat little fact: If I start from a standstill in any gear under 6, I do a wheelie. I tried to prove it to my friend the other day....
My bike did a back flip and I fell off

Really like this, so I gonna post it too:

        That's the 3700
        MRT
37.5 MPG, AC on, cruising at 80.
30.0 MPG, AC on, aggressively driving around 90.
27.5 MPG, no AC, cruising at 90 with occasional gridlock. 40 degrees Fahrenheit

Get some awesome wipers! <-- It's a DIY

REALLY want a dual suspension bike. All the ones I've been looking at are ~$1500 though

Good choice. I plan on getting those same shimano XT cranks once the stylo's on my dirtjumper are broken.

I haven't weighed her in yet but I've compared my bike to a few of my friends bikes that weigh around 26-27. So I'd say its about 26-27 lbs lol. That rear tire was some generic crap on from walmart or something, picked it up with the bike. I threw on a maxxis holy roller a couple days later. You on Pinkbike.com?

Here are a few updates of it as of a few months ago:

26'' MTX 33's, smaller rear cog, larger sproket, new bars, and new tires.

                    annnd heres the beast lol.

edit: I got my BMX running a couple months ago, heres a pic w/o the chain on lol.

I was hard into pinkbike from like 2005 until they remade the site. I'm "Dobersteeze" on there. I had like 7000 posts on the old board as ss_Shred.

Yea, that $1500 was a base model. They had upgraded ones going all the way up to $5500.
But hey, with a sig like yours nice bikes are a possibility!

I would never pay that much for a bike .... I worked in a shop for ten years off and on part time... I get them for cost.
