    Google searches

Is is just me, or has anyone else noticed lately that when you search for something on Google, It seems to list everything "Shop related" Like Google is supporting shopping more than answers to your search query?

The most frequent results I see for a search are:
    Wikipedia links
    Shop links
    Review links

I very rarely see forum links for real answers, to real problems anymore.

Car Safety / General Servicing Checks --------Basic suspension checks

A "Finished" project car is never finished until its been sold.

If at first you don't succeed, Try again. Don't give up too easily, persistance pays off in the end.

Good point. A lot of times I might search for something and it takes me to sites where someone has asked the same question, but there are no answers.

      Yep that too.
Also the one I hate most is, when I click a Google search result and it comes up with another website that says "There are no results for your search"

Seriously - Someone makes website's that "Re-searches your original search" only to tell you there are no results for your search . . .

The only thing I hate about Google is there "auto search" function.
I like to type out my words first THEN search (I like surprises).

ps, I know you can turn it off, but still....

Google makes TONS of money by advertising. They profit on things that most people don't even understand. It's obscene. There's so much going on behind a Google search that I can't even fathom it.

Those redirect sites... the ones that say "sorry, no pages have been found", are basically ad portals. You get directed to one of those, and it looks legit enough to advertisers so that they don't have their accounts frozen or rejected, but it's really nothing but a scam to get you to click on the link and view their ads. For every fool that searches and gets sent there, they make ad revenue. It's unfair to the searcher AND the advertiser.

I've learned to interpret Google's results to figure out what's crap and what's not in most cases.

Ive always done this with no problems...

i don't have issues with Google....and i haven't noticed shopping results being more prominent.

I only see shopping results if i CLICK on shopping.

There are some valid results in the search, but 4/10 of them are shopping results.
                      Thats almost 50%.
